enriched mode?

Hi, I was thinking about annotating text in XEmacs, and I've remembered (vaguely) the enriched minor mode. It's there all right, but I don't really know what it is and how to use it... The mode documentation refers to "the file etc/enriched.doc in the Emacs distribution directory", but that file doesn't seem to be included in the CVS version of xemacs-21.5... Can I get the file (which I do remember seeing, but don't remember where I saw it) without downloading the whole XEmacs distribution?
