Buffering mouse click events

Since I did the latest cvs update, after an hiatus of a couple of months, I notice that mouse events seem to be buffered for the slider bars. If I click and hold down on one of the slider bar arrows, the thumb takes off and stops at a time and place convenient to itself. This is most annoying. FWIW, something very similar is happening with mozilla. I'm using XFree86 4.0, Redhat 6.0+ i386. Is anyone else seeing this, or is it some artefact of my system (which has recently been rebuilt after meltdown)? -- __ /__ Peter B.
