Please don't spread FUD. The case you cite is not a "usual" problem
with incorporation of BSD code in a GPL project.

But that's not what I said - although the way you snipped the context makes
it look like that.
It is a usual problem, though, _when_ "BSD proponents" get "quite annoyed
with incorporation of BSD code in a GPL project", as David put it.
As I mentioned, and you snipped,
the two-clause BSD license was designed precisely to be
interoperable with the GPL.
so the gist of the BSD license, "don't blame me, if it breaks; give credit
where credit is due; besides that, do what you want with the code" of
course extends to GPLed projects.
