I may not have a chance to keep debugging this for a few hours. In
the meantime, I've got a reproducer that works reliably for me:
1. xemacs --vanilla
2. In *scratch* evaluate: (load "mule-util")
3. Click on the menubar
That's a reliable crash for me.
