Re: turning off gutters doesn't really turn off gutters

In XEmacs 21.2 (beta33) "Melpomene" [Lucid] (sparc-sun-solaris2.7) of Wed May 3 2000 on rhea configured using `configure --prefix=/export/users/hamishm/xemacs --site-prefixes=/export/users/hamishm/gnome:/export/users/hamishm --pdump --with-athena=xaw --with-menubars=lucid --with-scrollbars=lucid --with-dialogs=athena --with-widgets=athena --with-dragndrop=no --with-tooltalk=no' cvs-upped May 3, 15:50 EDT (Canada). I turn off gutter-tabs using the options menu (Options, Gutters, Buffer tabs visible), and save options (another bug report coming on that too..). When I restart XEmacs, the *gutter tabs are back*. The radio-button in the menu is still off. Quite annoying, given that the gutters are regularly crashing my XEmacs. From my .custom file: ... '(gutter-buffers-tab-visible-p nil) ... `gutter-buffers-tab-visible-p' is a variable declared in Lisp. -- loaded from "/export/users/hamishm/archive/xemacs-21.2/lisp/gutter-items.elc" Value: nil Documentation: Whether the buffers tab is globally visible. This option should be set through the options menu.
