Ben, Andy, could pre_gc_action be of use (possibly for other uses) in
the future? Andy you suggested it in the first place.
Should I just remove
+ register_pre_gc_action (update_all_frame_window_mirrors,
+ (void *) 0);
from redisplay.c instead?
