After some time off, I finally have some time to try out the
latest. Feels very good to be back on the edge ;-).
Compiled without a glitch. Works like a charm...
Minor annoyances:
- Had to dig out a bit to find the makeinfo package. Would
really be great if it was somewhere on the xemacs ftp site.
- Packages are great, but... It would be nice if there was a way
to register which packages are installed, so that package-update
would update only the installed packages (tried it, and it
went on installing the whole package archive. Some of the things
I had forgotten to install, but I don't care for rmail or mh-e,
which got installed anyway...).
Apart from that, a great release. Feels extremely fast (but then, It
would, as I my machine has been upgraded to a 4 time+ faster one, and
I've used specific options for it...).
Richard.
