XEmacs can't find a Helvetica Bold font. You need to set an X
resource (using -xrm argument to XEmacs, xrdb, or your .Xresources or
.Xdefaults file) for
*menubar*FontSet: -*-helvetica-bold-r-*-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-*
*popup*FontSet: -*-helvetica-bold-r-*-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-*
to something other than helvetica (or install the helvetica font,
which is standard on most X installations, except for MS Windows-based
X servers, which are weird---that's why it's the default).
The obvious thing to try is "*-*" for "helvetica-bold". If that
doesn't allow you to start your X configuration is seriously whacked.
