The package 'gentoo-sources' is the' vanilla-sources' package
(obtained directly from
kernel.org) with a *SMALL* number of Gentoo
patches applied. (Some are Gentoo-specific, others not.)
If the FSF Emacs version of eshell needs some patches to work nicely
with XEmacs, would an eshell-patches patchset make sense?
Does this generalize to all packages? to all C source files?
