What did you change and why?

auto-autoloads.el is normally auto-generated.
Have you manually edited that file?
Try byte-compiling the file:
M-x byte-compile-file
To update the autoloads for a file, try
M-x update-file-autoloads
If all this scares you, I suggest you reinstall the original "vc" XEmacs
package.
