sort of good. Reproducability is nice.
Well, it's not every time I go into group mode, only almost always.
Sometimes I have to wait 4 hours, sometimes it's the next time I do
it.

Is that the complete backtrace? The frames just above would be more
interesting. However your "reproduction recipe" sounds familiar.
It is the complete backtrace, yes.
Does reading
http://www.xemacs.org/list-archives/xemacs-beta/9908/msg00068.html
and the corresponding thread ring any bells? I think this is your bug.
The idea is basically that your keystroke comes in with a window id of
a window that XEmacs thinks has deleted.
It could very well be. I normally type
q s
immediately after another when leaving the summary mode.
That is this bug is in 21.1.x is new. Were you running any of the
21.1.x series before?
Yes, I ran on the same machine (a laptop) 21.1.4. I installed
21.1.6 just to see this bug fixed. On my desktop machine I have
21.1.2 but here I don't use Gnus.
(just in case one of the backported fixes from 21.2 is the cause)
Sorry, cannot asnwer this.
Anyhow, I have now a version with all debug info compiled in and will
try to get more information.
