Yes, this is "normal".
You should start a new XEmacs after package installation to be sure
about a clean state of the newly installed package.
Are you aware that all your packages are shadowed?
Yeah, I hadn't been aware until Steve pointed it out. His mail said the
/lib/xemacs/lisp was the correct one, however I did a find and
discovered the time-stamps were identical. I've now moved the
/lib/xemacs/lisp files "over" the /lib/xemacs/xemacs-packages tree,
we'll see what that does.
A lot of room for confusion!
