Hi,
I told you that I'm now running a patch Emacs version which works
arounf the non existing window and which reports the ID. Now I got
three reports:
drepperīŧ otr drepper$ Failed to find frame for window 4800177
Failed to find frame for window 4800177
Failed to find frame for window 480009b
I don't know whether they appeared all at the same time. I only saw
the messages suddenly. Anyhow here's the xwininfo output:

This is on my laptop which has a 1024x768 display with 16 bits. The
Emacs window is at the right side of the screen. Therefore I'd say
these windows are indeed scrollbars.
Now that the problems are simply ignored Emacs still runs nicely.
If you have more to test just send it. Thanks,
