When I list the system's processes via "M-x ps" or "M-x View-process-status", the process list appears, but XEmacs begins to beep as soon as the mouse pointer is moved over the non-empty region in the *ps* buffer (i.e. from a line's last character to the left). The message in the minibuffer is: "Wrong type argument: number-char-or-marker-p, nil".
