Sheesh! "Pretty old" is still substantially newer than the release.
In fact, the cygwin1.dll has undergone a *lot* of changes since 1.3.3,
especially w.r.t. Win98, even in the last few weeks. So in this
particular case, I think it was worth doing.
Anyway, I pulled down the very latest:
uname -a: CYGWIN_98-4.10 CX193439-A 1.3.4s(0.46/3/2) 20011009 21:11:31
i686 unknown
and I still get the same lisp function "void".
Too bad. I will also try to build the latest xemacs-21.5 cvs this
weekend, and we can compare notes. Can you build the latest
xemacs-21.4 cvs? Here's what I got:
<
http://list-archive.xemacs.org/xemacs-beta/200110/msg00097.html>.
If you also have trouble with that, it suggests there may be something
about your setup that is breaking things. (But remember, I say that
without having attempted to build 21.5 cvs myself...)
Cheers,
David
