I thought about that, but i have lesstif installed at home, and I think that usually is enough to fool configure into thinking i have Motif. hmm, looking at my 21.1.4 here, i see that gui-x.c and gui.c aren't even compiled on my linux version, which seems right for this configuration. I'll try to look more at what configure is finding at work. JV> Jan
