Cool. Could you please post a pointer to the source?
The source is at
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/X11/fonts; the file
is Xfstt-0.9.8.tgz. The web-page at
http://www.dcs.ed.ac.uk/home/jec/programs/xfsft/ concerns a set
of patches to the XFree86 source which enables xfs to render
True-Type fonts. I haven't tried that one, as the ftp site is
inaccessible right now.
Xfstt does have a few flaws; some video artifacts from time to
time when scrolling, and the file-names of the fonts are
difficult to work with. I have yet to find an acceptable format
which works in an .Xresources file for XEmacs. I load the fonts
from the Options menu for the time being.
Xfstt works really well with Netscape too.
