Not sure what's wrong, but I visit etc/xemacs-beta.xpm. I see a pretty picture. I hit C-h m, and it says t image-toggle-decoding OK, so I hit 't', but the picture doesn't go away. Only the scrollbars toggle on/off. Is that what it's supposed to do?

No. The image is supposed to be replaced with the text that you would see in e.g. fundamental-mode (which is what happens for me). Do you get this behaviour with -vanilla? -- Glynn Clements <glynn(a)sensei.co.uk>
