Raymond> For what it's worth, I tried reconfiguring without Motif (as Isaac

For me, a Solaris 7 / Motif build of XEmacs 21.[12].x yields a spew of
the X errors described in
http://list-archive.xemacs.org/xemacs-beta/199807/msg00429.html. To
make matters worse, the Motif scrollbars, while functional, are not
drawn properly. I tried fully patching anything remotely X related to
no avail. The problem occured on at least 2 different frame buffers.
Building with Lucid scrollbars and menubars, with no Motif dependencies,
makes the problem go away. I can't reproduce this problem on Solaris 8.
Very bizarre.
If anyone is interested in debugging this further I can reproduce and
send any debugging information required. As I've got a working nice
looking XEmacs now I'm perfectly happy.
