Bad juju. It's bad enough that XEmacs requires me to install a GIF
library -- it even begins to be picky about *which* library I install.
Let's be consistent, please.
Jareth sent mail about this a week or two ago. Something about
gifreader not containing GIF writing code.
It still contains GIF reading code, which is what we use. XEmacs
should use Autoconf to test which library you have, and use the
appropriate one.
Jareth, could you please comment on this? Is this intentional?
