Hi,
I had trouble compiling Xemacs on Linux/Alpha (RH 5.2) and posted
to xemacs(a)xemacs.org. I was directed to try one of the xemacs 21.x betas.
I've tried both 21.0.64 and 21.2.11. Niether of them would compile for
me. Before I go into specifics and trying to get things to work, are
there any versions of Xemacs known to compile/work on Linux/Alpha on a
fairly stock RedHat 5.2 base (with egcs 1.1.1)? I'd rather use Xemacs
than Emacs, I do like it better. I'm hoping not to have to learn Xemacs
code internal too much. I've got other free software projects that I
would like to devote my time to, so are there any known easy ways, or am I
pioneering here, and I'm going to have to start learning Xemacs internals?
(btw, not knowing lisp also makes me reluctant to try that route.) Thanks
very much for the great editor and for your help.
