Hmm, that's strange. I still have the cvs diff command line that
generated the patch sitting in an xterm, and it does include
packages.el. Moreover, I just followed up on that message with yet
another version of the patch which of course is now obsolete. I'll
send one that applies to the current 21.2 presto.
