Lazy lock and new syntax stuff?

I use lazy lock all the time and it has worked beautifully for me
until b46.  Now, it incorrectly fontifies things.  Is this due to the
new syntax stuff?  

As an example, if you have some lisp code commented out with #| and |#
that spans more than a screenful, and then scroll (by screens) past
it, the comment is only partially highlighted and things past the
terminating |# are highlighted as comments when they are, in fact,
real code.

This is somewhat annoying.
