I have this problem both with xpm and my cursor implementation. If you do something like: (make-glyph [xpm :file "some-non-existant-file.xpm"]) You don't get an error. Now I have debugged the code and signal_double_error *is* getting called by potential_pixmap_instantiator, but the error doesn't make its way back up to emacs.
