We have a long history of changing defaults to a setting that causes bugs to be flushed out and made visible. Setting d-k-d-f to 't will most definitely cause a large increase in visibility and help to flush out any remaining bugs in the tty handling code as well as any modes that may have gotten missed in the sweeps. sb> Maybe what we need are styles like CC mode uses.
