Alas, this is true for NT native XEmacs 21.1.9 as well! I have tracked this down to the fact that (interrupt-process "name") fails to interrupt the process started via M-x compile. (kill-process "name") does work for compilation-processes. Also, interrupt-process works fine if invoked with start-process. e.g. (setq proc (start-process "sleepy" nil "sleep" "30")) #<process "sleepy" pid 428 state:run> (interrupt-process "sleepy") "sleepy" Could this have to do with Ben's process fixes?
