O.K. So we're playing 20 questions. Which (if any) of the following
fail? Note that failure on GIF will be standard come the next release.
The PNG and the TIFF images failed for me. v6 JPEG lib and v3.4
TIFF. Seems like all these ukifcgn image libraries are picky.
Some GIFs display, some don't. Some JPGs display, some don't.
XV displays all of them unless they really are corrupted. So I
guess the lesson here is to not get too excited when an image
doesn't display, because this slop has never work spectacularly
well anyway. Since XV and ImageMagick display images much more
reliably than XEmacs, maybe we should be asking John Bradshaw
and/or the ImageMagick folks where they get their weed. I bet
it's all custom code, instead of these finicky libraries.
