After compiling 2.5-b3 (with or without gtk) I discovered that ispell stopped working in LaTeX mode/. All that appears in the minibuffer is "Continuing spelling check using default dictionary..." and a small core is sometimes dumped. Xemacs locks up but responds to C-g. If I revert to text-mode the spell-check works as usual.
