I have a textfile with a large number of columns (about 70000) and I noticed that the horizontal scrollbar stops working at about column 32700. It does not wrap around but stop moving the buffers position, the scrollbar can move further but nothing happens in the buffer. It is possible to move the cursor further by arrow-keys, Ctrl-E and such. Maybe some column-counter is a signed 16-bit integer.
