From the error message, it's very unlikely to be a XEmacs problem.
Did him have all necessary gcc package installed? I suspect that he didn't have
necessary xorg header either.
Maybe 'apt-get install xorg-dev' will help...

Subject: configure on (K)ununtu 6.10 returns error for Xemacs-21.5.28

I just run ./confiure and obtain the following PANIC message:

I can attach the config.log if necessary (0.3 M).
Please do. Also specify exactly the configure command you used, and
the value of CFLAGS and LDFLAGS from your environment. (These may all
be in the config.log, if so you don't need to repeat them.)
Thanks!
