Currently, the entry for packages in NEWS looks like this: ** XEmacs has been unbundled into constituent installable packages. See the file `etc/PACKAGES' in the distribution for a full description. I am not satisfied with this. etc/PACKAGES is too large and contains lots of unnecessary information. I feel someone acquainted with the package system (Michael? Steve?) should write a few entries intended for XEmacs users to read, with the additional pointer to etc/PACKAGES for more info.
