This whole 21.0 business concerns me.

Bug, I'd say.

There has been no announcement on comp.emacs.xemacs, and the web page
still says 20.4.
All the discussion about binary kits and the 21.0 release has raised
far more questions than provided answers. What *is* the release
strategy for the future? What status will 21.0 have? How will we
deal with binary kits. I'm sure you guys thought up something in
Japan, but it sure hasn't hit xemacs-beta yet.
For what it's worth, I think the following should be done:
1. Scratch the beta label from 21.0.67 and call the result 21.0.
(If feature freeze on 21.0 didn't last long enough for something
better than a beta, I don't know what all.)
2. Create binary kits.
(For what that's worth, we really need to do kits for AIX, for
example, where the resources required to do the build yourself are
just too great for many people.)
3. Announce on
www.xemacs.org and
comp.emacs.org.
For 21.1.x, let's create binary kits at leisure.
