Hello there ! I have been asked to write an article for a german IT magazine (iX) about the upcoming 21.0 release. With regard to that, what do PEOPLE HERE think should I tell the people about ? What are a) the brand new features and b) what is different to 20.4 ? Of course, for a) -Packages (and its implications ...) -Windows-Port. If there is somebody in Germany reading this list who could write a small report about this, I would be glad, as "I don't do drugs or windows" as Steve has put it once. - ... and for b) -Don't mix xresources and Options>Edit-Faces ;-) -Are there any MULE differences (IANAM - I am not a Mule(-User)). - ... Well, and then there's the NEWS file. What do people on this list find must be mentioned ? What obvious problems could be easily solved (i.e. to which I could write two lines saying "don't do that", like setting fonts in two different places or the gnuclient-problem on the shell.) Other comments ? Another question: when is the "final" 21.0 release due ?
