Well, these are reasonable. I still think that this is not worth the
complexity, especially as 3. requires that the access permissions work
out which, in PC secury networked setup, they don't.

No, I mean the loadup staging. Parts of the code actually require to
location of ~/.xemacs *before* even the command-line parsing has run
which groks -u.
