There is exactly the same problem with (windows versions) 21.5b27 and 21.5b28 . I can't use the stable versions since they don't run under Vista very well. I can't have decent write access to Samba shares: - files are opened write-protected (but I can xrite to them if I toggle the read-only flag on the buffer), - I can't have xemacs create new files Is there any work around or update?
