I'm consistently getting a core dump in 21.1.3 when trying to open a particular compressed tarfile: ftp://prep.ai.mit.edu/gnu/userv/userv-0.64.1.tar.gz. I've included the installation info and a backtrace. I've been unable to reproduce this in a -vanilla xemacs.
