If in the *scratch* buffer I eval (read-passwd "Password: "), I get sent to the minibuffer and when I'm done typing my password and type RET, the password does not get accepted. Instead the RET is registered as another '.'. If I C-g out of it, the *scratch* buffer looks like this: ,---- | (read-passwd "Password: ") | "nevin | | | | | | " `---- I cannot list the steps to reproduce this bug, but it happens during each of my XEmacs sessions. If I quit and restart XEmacs, things return to normal for some time.
