Does it actually execute the command twice, or does it just print the
result twice?
I checked with the guys at work today and they state that the command
is executed twice. I noticed that if I go into gdb, then enter
"quit", it quits the gdb session, and then "quit" is read by the
shell, and I get "quit: command not found" printed in the shell buffer.
Someone recently (last two/three months) reported that gdb would
step twice, or continue twice, or whatever, for one command. But I
think that was in gdb-mode.
What does stty say when you're in a shell in XEmacs?
dang, i forgot to print that out, but I'll get it tomorrow. I tried
quite a few different settings. None of which seemed to affect
anything.
