He's made a distribution in violation of at least the copyrights of Ben Wing and some programmer at TrollTech, Inc, probably Apple, Inc (they haven't responded to my query about how to properly use the code they post on their website), and possibly others, but Choi's public domain dedication is valid, the code he wrote is in the public domain to the extent that it was his code, and we can use the code that is no longer his in XEmacs, legally, under the terms of his dedication and the GPL as long as we put back the necessary permissions notices. So sez Larry Rosen. I've been procrastinating because there's been *no* offer to help with actually maintaining Carbon XEmacs until you showed up, and little interest in getting Carbon XEmacs from XEmacs as opposed to sixthhappiness.org.
