It's not a joke. I don't normally do Linux (I use FreeBSD), but
I'll take a stab at doing a Linux port of CVSup, as it's pretty nice.
Is it still the case that the Modula-3 compiler still runs only
on a few architectures? You should not choose a software which can
not be run on every machine XEmacs runs on. Do you want to lock out
developers who do not own or want a PC?
However, I know nothing about Linux, except that there're lots of
different variants, and so I'd like some recommendations on which
distribution to get. I don't want to waste time with installation/setup
issues, and so I'd like to know what I should get (it also has to be
compatible with what Steve has).
Good luck! I gave up on Linux because of maintainance/upgrading issues.
Using *BSD now, 'make build' is so much easier... :)
