(1) There doesn't seem to be a keyboard-oriented way to manage
packages. In particular, how do you set package-get-remote? I've
been using
(setq package-get-remote (list (cdar package-get-download-sites)))
but this is not user-friendly.
(2) Trying to use efs to update packages on NetBSD 1.5 with XEmacs
21.1.12, the NetBSD ftp client by default tries to use EPSV. At
ftp.xemacs.org, this results in an error which is not caught by EFS,
and so terminates the FTP transaction. If EPSV fails, the client
automatically toggles that feature off, so simply retrying the
operation normally succeeds, and future operations will succeed.
I've reported the bug to EFS separately, but I thought I'd mention
it here since the workaround is so simple.
