Standard autoconf (ISTR) supports a way to rename the program and its
components in a consistent way, eg, gtk-xemacs, gtk-etags, gtk-DOC,
etc etc.
Don't wait, I really meant "long run": we don't even have autoconf
2.5x support yet. Please do submit the patch, but separate from the
duplicate AC_SUBST deletion, thanks!
BTW, when you're pretty sure the patch is right, but you want more
general discussion than just the people who track xemacs-patches
(however, that currently has 448 subscribers! Yow!) you can post to
both xemacs-beta and xemacs-patches. Speeds things up, avoids dirtying
the floor if you get busy ;-).
