I am using both WindowMaker (run straight out of XDM on TurboLinux) and 0.60.0 running in the OpenWindows environment (selected via OW_WINDOW_MANAGER in .dtprofile) on Solaris. It is very easy to reproduce in CDE. Start XEmacs, create a second frame by any means, move it to another workspace via the WM frame menu, switch to the other workspace by clicking on the ugly box at the bottom of the screen and attempt to delete the XEmacs frame with `C-x 5 0'. -- 落花枝に帰らず破鏡再び照らさず (Don't cry over spilled milk)
