I suspect that what's not being found is a Unix-domain socket. Unless
you compile XEmacs with special configuration regarding gnuserv, there
should be a socket /tmp/gsrvdir$UID/gsrv where UID is your user's ID.
I suspect that this is related. Does that file exist? Does it have
the right permissions? (Does Leopard use ACLs?)
Is it somehow related to the new way the DISPLAY environment
variable works on Leopard's X11?
I doubt it. If gnuclient can't find an X server it should just fall
back to -nw.
