In principle, if GNU Emacs has it and we don't, that's a bug.
That doesn't mean it won't get severity "inelegant" and priority
"cosmetic", though. Ie, the core response will be "patches welcome
(and the review not necessarily gentle)". :-) And there are a number
of interfaces in GNU Emacs that will be deprecated immediately upon
porting. ;-)
