The other menu changes I like a lot, the accelerators I absolutely
despise (they just visually jar). Would it be possible to add this
variable for turning them off?
best world scenario:
1. put an entry in "Options" to manipulate accelerators, not under
"Menubars", 'cs accelerators apply to dd/pu menus, too
2. distinguish enabling accelerators in the menubar and in the
dd/pu menus
3. offer a choice between different visual clues, i.e., underlining
as it is customary in windows and motif, or using a different
face
e.g., i'd like no accelerators in the menubar, accelerators in all
menus, and using two slightly different hues for accelerators and
menu text as the visual clue...
also, i agree with Hrvoje: if emacs knows that i have a meta and an
alt key, please use alt to start acceleration
