how many email applications do you use :P
Over time I use most email applications. I hate having to configure
each one of them with the same information. It should be sufficient
to configure this into my machine once.

and how many XEmacs users use gnome?? i used to but it pissed me off
For those users that use gnome, it would make things better. For
others, it wouldn't matter.
But I don't know how to extract the users' email address out of
gnome...
