Should fsf-compat contain faces?

Hi all Still having annoying issues with CVS CEDET. Functions in the code refer to faces that XEmacs doesn't know about (e.g. region). Would it be a good idea to maintain a collection in fsf-compat? What would be recommended: Creating a new face altogether? Copying a similar XEmacs face (e.g. (copy-face 'zmacs-region 'region)) or making aliases by setting the `face-alias' property?
