You just need to remove the autoload cookie from _pkg.el and re-generate your auto-autoloads.el file. But... I've just added stuff to unsupported/ that will build unsupported packages without you having to worry about this kind of thing. Basically, it's a modified clone of what's in the top level packages directory.
