Yes - it's kind of immoral to take someone's free software and
improve it with restrictions that mean they can't use your changes,
isn't it;-?
if you follow this logic, the BSD tcp/ip stack was also borrowed by Microsoft
and used as the basis of Windows 2000 networking code.
Not only did not anything flow back into BSD and Microsoft is obviously not
allowing anyone to reuse the code at all. Just looking at Microsofts code might
taint you in the sense that you can no longer contribute to any free project
without fear that if you use anything that is even remotely similar to the
original BSD ehm Microsoft code could bring the project into legal trouble.
This kind of issues is for me the biggest drawback of BSD liek licenses.
